Freedom Rider

The Freedom Rider is a roller coaster that embodies the American spirit, and it needed a logo that did the same. Using Adobe Illustrator, I incorporated a symbol of American freedom, Uncle Sam’s starred and striped hat with the twists and curves of a roller coaster. The word “Freedom” is outlined with red white and blue, complete with a star in the middle of the “O” to reinforce the connection with the star-spangled banner and the freedom of riding such a dynamic roller coaster. The word “rider” is framed with stylized wings, reminiscent of an USAF wing pin, which refers to the sensation of flying one gets when on a roller coaster.
